The reason why I picked Shapes and designs was because I love to learn how shapes can help us in everyday life. Also another reason why I picked shapes and designs was because I like to learn geometry and how the shapes help us because shapes are all around us where ever we go for example: There are squares in every room, rectangles and even circles. The shapes could help because if we were to sign a piece of paper well the piece of paper is only a rectangle and the pen is only a rectangle but it all depends how the pen is shaped. The First investigation is labeled Bees and Polygons because they are talking about polygons. 1.1 is talking about like what a 12 sided polygon is named and the 12 sided polygons name is a dodecagon. Every polygon has gon at the end of the word. 1.2 is where you need to find out how many lines of symmetry are in a heart. 1.3 is that you needed to put tiles together and try to make a shape but cant have any big or small spaces they all have tile with no gaps. In the ace work it just relates to the 3 lessons. In investigation 2.2 you will learn how to use angle benchmarks for example: the angle measure for point A is greater than 120˚. In investigation 3.1 is titled Angle Sums of Regular Polygons and for that you have to find the angle sum of a triangle, square, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon, and a decagon. Then 3.2 is about for example... you have to make a shape then you have to put down how many triangles are in that shape. 3.3 is about how many edges of shapes all touch each other. I chose shapes and designs because I thought that I wanted to learn how to draw shapes better and how to tile them.
When I found out I was so happy because I like learning new things. In this book it has shapes, designs, and 2- dimensional geometry.
That is what I learned I learned how to make shapes, designs, and 2 dimensional shapes. If you want to see a reflection which is Reflection 4 from How Likely Is It? press HERE
